✅ Meissa Guard is a service that makes construction sites safer and easier to manage for both workers and managers. It uses Meissa platform's orthophotos, hazard zone information, and personal location information from mobile phones' GPS to provide workers with a safe working environment and managers with a convenient way to manage workers.
Why is Meissa Guard needed?
For workers:
- Workers can easily see their current location and the construction site they are working at.
- Workers can share their location with safety managers to prepare for dangerous situations.
- Workers can receive alerts when they enter danger zones.
For managers:- Managers can easily see the locations of workers who have installed the app on the platform's web.
- Managers can manage the locations of workers and check their contact information in case of an emergency.
- Managers can monitor danger zones and situations, and use the data to investigate accidents.

1. Meissa Guard Application Download
Meissa Guard App is a location-based safety management application service for workers in construction sites. It can be downloaded from Android OS (Google Play Store) and iOS (iPhone App Store).
(1) Download after scanning QR code
1. Open the camera on your mobile phone and scan the QR code provided by the manager.
a. If Meissa Guard is not installed on your phone, automatically navigate to the store.
b. If the Meissa Guard is installed on your phone, the Meissa Guard app runs.
2. Go to the URL that connects you and install the app.

Guide for Managers
If you are using the Meissa platform, you will be provided with one project QR code per project.
1. Download Project QR
On the home screen (project list), click the (⚙️Settings) button in the lower right corner of the project you want to use Meissa Guard service.

2. Real-time worker location confirmation
2-1. Real-time
If there is a user who has successfully joined the Meissa Guard app by scanning the project QR code, you can check the location information of the worker on the site situation detail page.
- Please check the 'Worker Location' check box on the left side bar.
- Make sure the workers on the map appear.
- If you are curious about the exact location information of a specific user, click the [Labor Location Details] button at the bottom.
- In the list on the right, click on the name of the person whose information you want to check.
- The map moves to the exact location of the user who clicked to see what the worker entered when signing up (name, mobile number, last location sharing time).
2-2. History of previous locations
If you have a worker who checked in on a date earlier than today, you can view the past location in [History of Previous Location].
- Tap [Record previous location] on the right in the list of workers.
- Check the slide bar at the bottom of the map.

- Date selection: Select the desired date.
- Play selection: You can move forward or backward 10 seconds, pause or play time.
- The default playback speed is 10 seconds per second.
- Time zone selection: You can select from 0 to 24 hours.
3. Hazardous Areas
3-1. Add Hazardous Areas
You can add a designated area where you want to control access or where dangerous work is expected. (Same creation method as area tool)

③ Use the left or right mouse button to designate the hazard area on the map.

- Start date: You can specify the time when access to the area is controlled or dangerous work begins.

- Coordinates: Displays the coordinate information of the corner point of the hazard area.

- The date of the hazard area must be specified in order to save it normally.
- It is possible to create/save hazard areas in the past or future, but they may not be displayed on the map due to policy.
- The hazard area will be displayed on the map automatically when the start date is reached, and it will disappear automatically from the map when the end date is reached.
3-2. Hazardous Zone History

- Click 'History of Hazardous Zones' on the left.
- On the screen on the right, select the one you want to see (date/danger zone name/state).

You can view the past location of workers and the past hazard areas that existed together.

Why should I use the Meissa Guard? What's good about using it?

Where can I get the Meissa Guard app?
You can get it from the Android = Google Play Store / iOS = App Store.
Does Meissa Guard only support Android and iOS devices? (Can it only be used on smartphones?)
Yes, currently Meissa Guard is only available on two operating systems and does not support 2G phones.
I have a smartphone, but it's old. Is it available?
The version of the operating system is important regardless of when you purchased your smartphone. Meissa Guard supports Android version 9.0 or later and iOS version 12 or later. Please update your phone's OS to the latest version by going to the phone's settings menu.

[QR Check In] What should I do?
A site-specific QR code scan is required to identify which site the worker is working in. Please request the QR code of the site to the person in charge of safety management.
[GPS check-in] What is that? (GPS check-in doesn't work)
If there is a site where you last checked in QR, you can check in without QR just by being located inside the site. Please allow access to location information to the Misa Guard app and hold your phone still without turning off the screen.
- If you don't have a previously checked-in site or if you can't identify the location, use QR check-in.
Can I sign up by any other means other than the QR code?
Membership registration is only possible through QR code scanning.
Do I have to enter my name and phone number?
No, you are not required to enter accurate information, but you must enter some information. Since this is a safety management service, please enter your real name or contact information that can be actually connected for quick contact and identification in case of emergency.
Do I have to agree to the terms of service?
Yes, you must agree to the terms of service to use the service.
Why do I have to allow location "Always"?
This is to collect your location even when the app is not running (when the screen is turned off or minimized). Even if you allow location "Always", you can rest assured that your location will not be collected after you log out.
I accidentally turned off the location permission [always allow] page, can't I get it to come out again?
If you completely shut down the app and run it again, we will provide a guide for you to set it up again.

After installation - location sharing
Does the app record my location 24/7? (Does it keep recording my location even after I leave work?)
No. Your location information will not be collected if you log out or mark yourself as "Not working" regardless of whether you have installed the app or allowed location.
How to stop sharing your location?
- Go to "My site" and turn off the "Working" toggle.
- Go to "My information" and tap "Log out".
There are two ways to stop sharing your location.
But, if you stop sharing your location, the manager may hold you responsible for safety issues or consider it as a violation of work.
How to handle when I am not working or leaving work?
- To temporarily stop sharing your location for a few minutes or hours, go to "My site" and turn off the "Working" toggle.
- To leave work, go to "My information" and tap "Log out".
Do I have to log out every time I don't want to share my location?
No. The app will automatically log you out if you have not logged out within the following time limits:
- 12 hours after the initial check-in
- 8 hours after the last location update
- 5km away from the center of the site
Why did I get logged out even though I didn't do anything? (Do I have to scan the QR code every day?)

After Installation - Hazardous Zone Notification
Can't I change the hazard zone alert to vibration or silent?
The hazard zone alert must be notified by sound.
This is a decision for a safer construction site and workers. We ask for your understanding.
Can the hazard zone entry alert be delayed?
Currently, the alert may be delayed by up to 5 minute.
- If the alert is not received at all, please check if notification permission is enabled for the Meissa Guard app.
- If notification permission is enabled and the alert is still not received, please contact the Meissa sales team.
Common Guide
Is the location recorded even in underground or construction sites with unstable signals?
The location information is collected by receiving the location information collected through the GPS of the phone through the network. Therefore, the location collection may not be accurate in places where the GPS signal is weak or the network is unstable.
What is the location accuracy?
The location information is obtained from the GPS of the phone, so it is difficult to determine the accuracy as it varies depending on the environment. However, it is known that the error range is within 5 meters in outdoor areas.
Personal information and location data are used where and how?
The purpose of collecting personal information and location data is to share the location of workers with site managers and detect hazards.
How long is the time interval when the location is recorded?
Basically, if you move more than 5m, it will be recorded based on distance.
If you move after stopping for more than 30 minutes in a place within 5 meters, the next location record may take a long time.
Personal information and location data are used where and how?
The purpose of collecting personal information and location data is to share the location of workers with site managers and detect hazards.
How long are personal information and location data stored?
Based on Article 16, Paragraph 2 of the Act on the Protection and Use of Location Information, we automatically record and preserve records of personal location information collection, use, and provision, and the contents are stored for one year after the end of the platform usage contract period.
Won't battery consumption be severe?
Based on the daily battery usage, it can consume about 10% to 20% of the total battery usage.
How much data is used?
Based on 8 hours of use per day, it uses about 10MB to 20MB.
Can team members share their location?
Workers using the Meissa Guard app can only see their own location.
Managers using the platform Web can see the location of all workers.
Is support not available in languages other than English?
As of this point, it is supported in Korean and English.
Other languages are not currently scheduled for development, but please request if needed.

Yes, it is possible. However, past or future hazard zones are displayed as follows according to policy.

It is possible. Turn on the 'View previous hazardous areas together' toggle on the 'Labour Location - Record previous location' tab on the platform to view both the hazardous areas and the workers' locations that existed in the past.
