1.1.4 Unlocking DJI Flight Restricted Areas

Unlocking flight-restricted areas

Follow the steps below to view and unlock flight restrictions for your DJI drone.

1. Access the DJI homepage

- Once logged in, click on the top [Support] menu > access the [Look up flight restrictions] menu.

2. Click the [Request unlock] menu at the top

3. Click the Request New Unlock button

4. Click Custom Unlock

5. Click the [Add device] button

6. Enter the drone serial number and select the airframe model

7. Click the [Add Pilot] button

8. Enter your DJI account information

9. After selecting the device and pilot, click the [Next] button

10. Click [Polygon] to select the field area on the satellite map

11. Write the duration and altitude, and the reason for the unlock request

12. Upload flight application approval file (upload the approved documents from the Drone One Stop as a PDF)

13. Click the Submit button and check the 'Pending review' text

15. Receive an email notification when processing is complete (if successful)

16. After powering on the drone + controller, click the [Highest Altitude] menu on the top left of the controller

17. Click [License] in the lower left corner

18. Click [New unlock package] in the top right corner

19. Click the [Import All] button

20. Activate the imported license
