1.3.2 Verifying data quality

💡 Whether it's surveying with drone data or calculating earthworks, data accuracy is critical for analytics. Here's how to check the error between analysed data and actual coordinates.

Check it out on your platform

• Check the top-right GCP checkbox to ensure that the GCP above the ortho is intact.
  
  

• Use a map tool to check for errors with the coordinate values in the GCP.
  
  
• Verify that the 3D Point cloud data is implemented.
  
  • If something is wrong with your point cloud
    
    • The point cloud will either be at the bottom of the point cloud, as shown in the example below, or you can use the
    • You may experience issues such as the X,Y axis spinning.
• 
• If previous orthoimagery data is available for the site, the time series change monitoring feature checks for accuracy.

Use analytics reports to check

• Click Download in the top right corner of the platform screen

• Click Reports at the bottom and then click Pix4D Reports (this feature is only available if you have analysed using the Pix4D analytics engine.)

• Check the Analytical Accuracy and GCP Error Rate sections of that report
